Position Description

General Summary
The Vendor coordinator acts as a single point of contact for vendors supplying equipment and/or systems
for (generally) major projects. Vendor coordination requires a background in a technical field of
engineering and an ability to communicate, coordinate and keep track of several different projects at once.
Being client- and service oriented and the ability to understand and explain a wide variety of (technical)
matters is essential.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (PDR)
1. Coordinates the Vendor activities of the Vendor Coordination team.
2. Attends client and vendor meetings representing vendor coordination.
3. Initiates and implements vendor coordination procedures
4. Provides input covering vendor coordination for proposals and client information packages
5. Prepares and coordinates quotes to vendors with principals engineers and clients. Communicates
directly with engineers, project managers and survey offices to ensure a prompt resolution of
outstanding comments.
6. Tracks technical and survey certification status for the vendor-items on assigned projects.
7. Provides a complete status update on vendor certification process of the assigned projects to client
(owner/builder) and ABS team members on a regular basis. Provides specific status updates to
vendors and ABS team members if requested.
8. Discusses and explains status, outstanding comments, requirements and ABS procedures with
vendors if required or requested.
9. Takes care of day-to-day vendor and client questions concerning financials, general ABS information.
10. Performs follow-up on outstanding vendor issues necessary for the completion of ABS review/survey
for the project.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
1. Bachelor of engineering
2. 1-2years experience in an engineering environment
3. Ability to work independently
4. Proficient in Microsoft programs, especially Excel, Access and Word.
5. Client and service oriented
6. Good command of English language, written and orally
7. Ability to work well with others
8. Ability to plan, organize and set priorities
