职位描述：

SUMMARY: Oversee and participate in the design, management, and administration of safety programs and related programs to the conformance of company philosophies and business objectives. Lead role in implementing best practices in company safety objectives for consistency and effectiveness throughout plants in Asia-Pacific region and act as a trainer, auditor and consultant to each facility with the goal of improving each site’s performance in safety initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE SITES/PLANTS

• Be thorough and conscientious in knowing and transforming the local legal requirements, the Group safety standards and then develop applicable tools and programs based on good practices and experience.
• Be the internal champion and trainer of safety basic programme (risk assessment, LOTO, machine guarding, accident investigation, confined space, permit to work, contractor safety management, industry vehicles and pedestrians, MOC etc.)
• Provide technical assistance and support to site operation managers, EHS mangers and supervisors in the performance of their duties under the Group safety programme
• Assist Delegation EHS Director in making sure that the appropriate safety standards and rules are developed, communicated, and understood by all site EHS managers, standards champions/guarantors and key operation managers.
• Respond to site safety mangers safety concerns and needs of help by providing on-site safety coaching.
• Train the contributors on Gaia the EHS on-line reporting system and manage user accounts.
• As required assist in significant incident investigations.
• As required assist in the management of change to assist in the evaluation and risk assessment when new equipment, facilities, or materials are designed, purchased, and /or used, and when new processes/plant are designed
• Establish GPS (Good practice sharing) and Zoom Event (learn from accidents) for operations managers and site EHS managers and supervisors.
• Develop and use appropriate safety management data bases and management systems to provide suitable and useful analysis of data.

CONDUCTING SUPERVISION TO THE SITES/PLANTS

• Conduct legal watch and safety legal compliance audit. Keep management informed of all significant nonconformities.
• Ensure that all LTA(TF1) and NLTA (TF2) accidents are investigated suitably and that appropriate corrective actions have been carried out
• Be the internal auditor of Group EHS audit tool and work as auditor leader.
• Coach site EHS mangers to develop their action plans after each Group EHS audit
• Support Delegation EHS Director to validate site action plan with site GM for each Group EHS audit.
• Follow up the corrective actions resulted from Group EHS audit findings every six month and then report Delegation EHS Director the result of action close rate.
• Organize cross-audit on Group safety standards

Typical Education Level:

University graduate or Master degree in Safety engineering, Chemical engineering or Mechanical engineering.

* Specialized knowledge and skills:

At least 8 years safety work experience in industry and manufacturing environment for multinational Western Company.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and anticipate customer reaction

Ability to travel in Asia-Pacific region

Strong English communication skills for training, reports, data analysis, issue research and resolution, program development, and heavy customer interaction

Strong interpersonal, listening, written, training, auditing and negotiating skills

Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

* Language skills :

Chinese, English mandatory, French or other language is a plus.
