Main Tasks:
Business Leadership:
As a member of the Regional Upstream (Polymerization Solution) Business Development Team:
-Define market scope and strategies for Synthetic Rubber markets
-Drive innovation for Up Stream product portfoilio for the region. Including providing regional needs to the global Product Development and R&D teams, drive regional application and formulation development works.
-Identify business development potentials with new strategic products and core products from technical cooperation and innovation meeting with customers and specifiers
-Implement business development projects and responsbile for Asia sales and profitability targets
-Defend and grow exisiting business by providing high quality technical services to customers
-As technical expert to support EVP offerings in relevant ITGs and CTGs
-Support the resolve of Polymerization Solution product quality issues related to application and technology
Technology Leadership:
- Technical interface for defined key Synthetic Rubber; provide timely, efficient and professional response to all customer technical queries in respective industry, and advises/defines technical projects with customers (TOR)
- Develop and implement Synthetic Rubber test methods and synthesis and processing technologies
- Technical presentations at customers and selected key industrial conferences and build external networks (masterbatcher, specifier, coadditives producer, etc.)
- Support and share Synthetic Rubber technical know-how with other Regional TC members
- Contribute to the global technical network through sharing of relevant experiences and feedback on technical development related to our existing or potential customers base; constantly develop technical competence in Synthetic Rubber and beyond

People Leadership:
-Working closely with Polymerization Lab Technican/ Supervisor for project implementation and method development
-Development technical know for Lab technician/ Supervisor and coaching them during technical project implementation
-Demonstrate project management skill and coach other project team members
-Ongoing technical training and know-how transfer for other TC team members and local sales and marketing teams
EHS Compliance:
Take the leadership to uphold the commitment to Responsible Care's code for Product Stewardship in the responsible team and relevant business partners to ensure that BASF's products are safe to use, manufacture, distribute and dispose of.

Requirements:
Min in. Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Eng/ Polymer Eng.
8 years or more experience in technical service, product development in the plastic industry.
In-depth knowledge of polymer industry and additives, experience in project mangement skills.
