Technology plays a crucial role in enabling our staff to deliver quality services to both our external and internal clients.
 
The Technology Engagement Team, within the IT Service department is tasked with interacting with the business to ensure that for all technology requirements within KPMG China:

- Align with the firm's strategy
- Are delivered in a consistent, user friendly manner
- Provide cost effective solutions that demonstrate adequate returns on investments

In creating an environment where employees can access and use the technology they need to do their best work, the team is responsible for:

- Explore requirements, in conjunction with business users, for new application developments / implementations
- Delivering these requirements using robust project management methodologies
- Educating users on commercial productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office applications
- Delivering internal technology related communications
- Development of SharePoint portal sites and applications
- Supporting and enhancing our SAP based HR and payroll systems for process improvements and legal and statutory requirements

Responsibilities

- Work closely with the local and Asia Pacific regional project teams to implement and support the ongoing KPMG Global mySAP ERP enhancement work, focusing on HR and payroll for Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China
- Design and code new ABAP based reports for HR and payroll processes
- Configure and test local payroll rules into SAP as necessary
- Identify and manage overall project dependencies and ensure project deliverables stay on time, on-target and on-budget
- Define and manage overall project risk identification and mitigation process through interaction with project constituents and stakeholders
- Identify on a timely basis all project barriers and work with key stakeholders to identify strategies and approaches to overcome these barriers
- Build credible relationships with internal colleagues, including project leadership, practices, functional and technical resources
- Supporting internal departments with change management, quality review meetings and implementation of governance and escalation framework
- Responsible for the on-going evolutionary initiatives of the services including functional changes, technology advancements, regulatory demands/changes and industry or market demands as specified by the Management team
- Resolves conflicts that occur in delivery ensuring all parties, functional areas, partners and management understand expectations and work effectively to deliver expected outcomes
 
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or a similar discipline
- A minimum of two years’ experience in ABAP and Web Dynpro programming
- Experience in web application development using HTML, ASP, PHP, DHTML, .NET Java, JSP, ANT, Eclipse, Visual Basic and SQL
- Good knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, Visual Basic and MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of HR processes, including master data maintenance, transaction flows, payroll, skills and qualifications, learning and development, etc
- Ability to meet challenging milestones within time, cost and quality constraints
- Ability to work efficiently and deliver pragmatic and high-quality outcomes
- Be team players with the ability to deliver projects and work within integrated, multidisciplinary project teams
- Be driven and resilient to overcome challenges or setbacks to achieve the goals of the projects
- Communicate with impact in an open, honest, consistent and clear manner
- Good verbal and written English language skills; knowledge of Chinese language is advantageous
