MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategy:
1). Support strategic investment projects as regional contact partner
2). Support acquisitions as responsible Engineering and Maintenance contact
3). Support development of BU, regional and country strategies
2. Investments:
1). Give technical and project management guidance to regional investment projects and coordinate approval process
2). Governance function and technical review for investment projects
3). Budget planning & monitoring for Small investments and EC investments as well as initiating counter measures to avoid over or under run
4). Track ongoing projects (technical progress, schedule, costs, scope)
5). Challenge and review regional investment demands for midterm planning together with the local organization
6). Coordinate midterm planning of investments in A-ECA with EC/C
7). Coordinate support from experts in BASF Coatings and BASF

3. Maintenance:
1). Introduce maintenance concepts in local organization to secure delivery capability
2). Define clear processes for maintenance in line with EC Best Practice quality demands
3). Improve utilization of SAP for maintenance to track KPI's
4). Coordinate support from experts in Coatings and BASF
4. People & Organization Management:
1). Develop Engineering and Maintenance competencies in the organization
2). Lead the local teams functionally
3). Set measurable targets to monitor team's performance
4). Steer guide and align the Engineering & Maintenance activities of the different sites

5. Performance Management and continuous Improvement:
1). Improve cost allocation and use of SAP for investment projects together with Controlling team
2). Manage maintenance costs and project expenditures
3). Define and monitor KPI's and derive necessary actions
4). Drive continuous improvement processes
6. Communication:
1). Establish a regional A-ECA E&M community
2). Coordinate between global EC technical community
3). Interface to AST community
4). Exchange Experience and Best Practice with other BU's and E&M organizations

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education:
1). Master in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
2). Good English capabilities verbally and in writing
3). Excellent Chinese capabilities verbally and in writing
2. Experience:
1). Execution of Engineering projects and project management
2). Paint production or Batch production processes with high quality demands
3). > 5 years
