1. General description

Position:Material Planner (物料计划)

Area of responsibility:Planning
Superior:Planning Supervisor

Locations:Wuxi, China

2. Main Objectives

• Plan materials for mix model production lines, in accordance with six sigma lean concept, so as to maintain linear flow and meet TAKT time.
• To collect and analysis demand plan and generate material requirement plan considering key planning parameters including inventory, delivery lead time, froze time, etc.
• Manage all materials replenishment systems including vendor Kanban and forecast. Also ensure alignment of vendor capacity with forecast.
• Team with production planner(s) so as to guarantee pull replenishment of materials (vendors and internal).
• Support transfer of products and rate production of components for new products.
• Support materials manager and site sourcing with performance data for supplier management and development.
• Lead exception management for materials in coordination with transportation and vendors.
• Follow up the payment to the direct material vendors
• Fulfill planning based on basic knowledge of quality policy and quality manu.

5. Competence profile (idealistic)

Education:College Graduate, specialty in logistics or management is preferred.

Practical experience: 2+ Yrs experience in material planning at manufacture and/or multinational corporation.

Knowledge/Skills requirements:

1, Good at English, includes oral.

2, Good at communication & negotiation and coordinate skills. SAP is preferred.

3, Six Sigma belt certification and lean exposure is a big plus.
