Responsibilities
To help deliver AVTech's strategy the successful candidate will be responsible for:

· First Systems Engineer (SE1):
o Performing presales consulting to qualify customer opportunities, consider solution options and to help produce proposals;
o Performing project delivery (project planning, design and implementations);
o Providing support services for servers, business applications and networking issues;
o Diagnosing, resolving/escalating, following-up and closing client IT problems by applying appropriate solutions to achieve service restoration;
o Communicating with third parties (e.g. Telecommunications Providers, Internet Service Providers and Hardware/Software Vendors) during problem resolutions;
o Communicating with Sales Executives (client account managers) as appropriate;
o Escalating issues to internal team members and management as appropriate;
o Ensuring client issues are satisfactorily resolved and 'case tickets' closed on time;
o Appropriate handling of internal service desk systems, policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement of services;
o Prepared to travel outside of Shanghai.
· Second Systems Engineer (SE2):
o Providing user & workstation service desk support at client sites remotely & by phone;
o Diagnosing, resolving/escalating, following-up and closing client IT problems by applying appropriate solutions to achieve service restoration;
o Communicating with third parties (e.g. Telecommunications Providers, Internet Service Providers and Hardware/Software Vendors) during problem resolutions;
o Escalating issues to internal team members and management as appropriate;
o Ensuring that client issues are satisfactorily resolved and "case tickets" closed in a timely manner;
o Appropriate handling of internal service desk systems, policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement of services;
o Prepared to travel outside of Shanghai.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Personality Attributes
To help deliver AVTech's strategy the successful candidate MUST HAVE the following skills, experience, qualifications and personality attributes:

· Skills & Experience
o Excellent communication and reporting skills;
o Good presentation skills;
o Excellent written documentation skills;
o Efficient time management skills;
o Knowledge and experience in Service Desk, ITIL processes, Project Management Methodologies would be an advantage;
o Presales consulting and proposal generation experience (SE1);
o Technical leadership experience (SE1);
o 3+ years experience in IT support and/or project delivery. Ideal technical experience areas are (SE1);
§ Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista Workstation Operating Systems;
§ Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 Server Operating Systems;
§ Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2007 Server; Microsoft ISA Server;
§ HP and IBM PC and server hardware;
§ Cisco switching, routing and firewalls;
§ Citrix Presentation Server; VMware ESX;
§ Recognised backup and anti-virus software (e.g. Symantec or McAfee);
§ WAN and Internet connections;
o 12 months IT support experience relating to user and workstation issues (SE2);
o Remote diagnostics and administration of workstations & servers (SE2);
· Qualifications
o At least one major industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCDP/CCNP, Citrix CCEA etc);
o Candidates with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline will be looked upon favourably;
· Personality Attributes
o A positive, results oriented and customer focused attitude;
o A desire to take responsibility and ownership to see actions/issues through to completion;
o The ability to adapt to a changing environment that requires proactive and innovative solutions;
o A flexible attitude.
