Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of the finance function of the business. They will need to have good knowledge and understanding of accounting-related statutory requirements in China and Hong Kong, and be able to present consolidated reports to senior management. They will be reporting directly to the Managing Partners and managing a team across the Beijing and Shanghai offices.

 

Management Role

? Provide commercial support to the senior management team;

? Present monthly financial performances and variance to budget explanations to senior management;

? Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle;

? Oversee the statutory accounting for all legal entities in the Group;

? Consolidation and reconciliation of the financial accounts from all commercial entities;

? Cash flow and working capital management;

? Provide a treasury function to manage the funds across the company;

? Establish and maintain an intercompany policy for the Group;

? Manage client accounts by ensuring they are billed to the terms of contract (fees, timing, and expenses) and review their profitability (correct revenue has been recognized);

? Responsible for the development, work load and output of the finance team;

? Be able to support the company’s potential expansion into other regions; and

? Manage employment contracts and freelance agreements.

 

Operational Role

? Approve client invoices and statements before they are sent to clients;

? Ensure expenses on client accounts are billed monthly;

? Follow up on outstanding client invoices;

? Review and approve supplier payments (raised and processed by the finance team);

? Sign-off monthly payroll and year end summaries;

? Process intercompany cash transfers;

? Ensure the month-end process is completed on time (bank rec, invoices input, fixed asset register and balance sheet reviews);

? Corporation tax payments throughout the year;

? Annual returns and any other statutory requirements; and

? Supervise audit sign off.

 

Requirements

1. English and Mandarin language skills are mandatory

2. At least 6 years’ accounting or FP&A experience in MNC, familiar with group-level reporting, preferable with advertising, consulting, or service industry background

3. Must have a recognized accounting qualification, sound understanding of international accounting standards

4. Cross region team management experience is preferred

5. Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Accounting or Finance related 举报 分享
