IKEA Indirect Material and Services (IKEA IMS), established in 2004, is
a global organisation providing the IKEA stores, offices and units with
products, services and solutions for a greater customer experience. We
are 400 co-workers that together with key competences across IKEA
enable smart solutions needed to operate the IKEA business. IKEA IMS
is located in Älmhult, Malmö, Wiesbaden, Philadelphia and Shanghai
and we have local presence and support in most countries where IKEA
operates. We are now looking for one experienced Purchaser located in
Shanghai, China.
Your assignment includes:
Support service purchase for IKEA units in Asia Pacific, especially in
China. You have the responsibility to lead the purchasing process for
assigned areas, e.g. Marketing, Facility Management, IT, and
Professional Service. You will actively improve and develop the IKEA
IMS business in Asia Pacific as well as to lead and follow the IKEA IMS
purchase concept. An important part of your role is to build trustful
relations with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve the best solutions.
Together with the stakeholders you will ensure the compliance of
agreements.
This Purchaser will secure the IKEA Code of Conduct, sustainability and
business ethics standards. It is also important that you contribute and
exchange experiences with other purchasers within IKEA IMS. You will
be a member of the China purchase team, which is part of the regional
purchase area Asia Pacific.

You like to interact with people and have an ability to build

management skills.
We see that you have a university degree in engineering or business
administration/economics and several years of professional purchase
experience. You could also have your professional experience within
sales/marketing together with a strong interest to develop further
within purchasing. We are open to candidates with other experiences,
with the right personality and cultural fit.
As you often will work within an international arena you have
knowledge and experience of how to cooperate and work with people
in an international environment. You are fluent in English & Mandarin,
both written and verbal and you are willing to travel. You have good
computer knowledge and are skilled in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
