In order to support the high speed growth, PEER China now invites high caliber personnel to take up the position of Indirect Commodity Manager. The position will be located in Shanghai and report to the Director of Purchasing and Supply Chain.
Job Summary
? The Commodity Manager's role is to manage Capital Expenditure investment at PEER China facilities and evaluation of factories capital items disposal. This includes developing annual Capex plan during BP phase to support fast business growth direction, Capex investment application process standardization, and Capital items optimization in each site.
? The Commodity Manager is responsible for non-material spending control which also includes office rental rate negotiation, travel agent selection, hotel and fleet management, etc. in addition to Capex.
Key Responsibilities
? Work with site leaders to develop annual Capex investment plan with right budget during BP planning phase.
? Support facility personnel to apply for Capex investment with appropriate business justification.
? Standardize Capex investment application process including bidding process, supplier assessment, commercial terms negotiation and contract approval process facilitation.
? Take charge of Capex Project Management and ensure Capital realization on quality on schedule.
? Investigate the best proposals for facility idle Capital items to minimize financial impact caused by Capital write-off.
? Control the Capital purchasing items and support construction project during M&A process.
? Take charge of significant non-material spending including sourcing travel agent, hotels rate negotiations, office rental rate assessment, etc.
? Manage indirect commodity supply base and develop sound relationship with key suppliers.
? Maintain and reinforce the PEER "Can Do" spirit and entrepreneurship.
Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills
? Bachelor degree in construction or equipment automation, PMP qualification is a plus
? Minimum 5 years relevant working experience
? Demonstrate detail oriented approach and service excellence attitude
? Proven ability to presentation skills to top management
? Understanding of basic financial/accounting practices
? Strong negotiation skills; able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
? Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
? Proficient in both English and Chinese
