JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: Network Architecture Engineer
Reports to: Regional Network Service Manager
Subordinate: 0
Working location: Shanghai
Job Purpose:
  1. Works with stakeholders to develop network strategy, standards and solutions to meet business requirements
  2. Leverages a consistent, transparent process for developing strategy and build cycles
  3. Meets regularly with network team and other stakeholders to develop, augment, and discuss current and new emerging network connectivity solutions, and design fundamentals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures
  2. Responsibilities include the design, strategy and delivery of network services including but not limited to routing, switching, security, wireless, load balancing, extranet, VPN and voice services
  3. Responsible for the efficient and effective transition from the design and build cycle to the operations cycle which includes documentation, process, communication and ongoing Level 3/Level 4 support and escalations as needed.
  4. Services are ultimately transitioned to the Network Service Operations organization for ongoing operation
  5. Maintains and develops standards and processes


Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent job related experience.
  2. 6+ years of related management experience of large-scale network
  3. Expert in LAN and WAN technologies
  4. Solid understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 Networks interoperability, Cisco LAN and Routing
  5. Experience with Cisco routing and switching are required, F5 APM/GTM/LTM, Cisco ASA are preferred
  6. Experience leading network implementations or other infrastructure projects
  7. Experience in designing large enterprise networks, voice technologies, services, and protocols including BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN and QoS.
  8. Experience working with customers and stakeholders and having a proven capability of building process, reporting and procedures as necessary
  9. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels in the organization
