Mission
The Packaging Manager manages the Hardgoods / Houseware Packaging Design Team from Carrefour GS offices. He/She is responsible for the efficiency of the packaging organization, communication with all stake holders and ensures the delivery of attractive and compliant packagings on time for shipment of products sourced by Carrefour GS offices.
The Packaging Manager report to the Design & Packaging Division manager.

Responsibilities
The packaging manager will have the following responsibilities:

1. People Management:
- Manages 4 to 5 staffs based in Shanghai and in Hong Kong
- Train, assess, and recruit if necessary team members
- Coach, support and motivates the team

2. Project Management:
- Controls the relationship with 5 to 7 agencies (packaging design, translation, shooting) in Shanghai and Hong Kong regarding their projects allocation, planning controls, creativity, price lists
- Oversees the smooth packaging design development of the yearly 5000 products packaging artworks developed by the GS Packaging team in cooperation with France Packaging Team from artwork design to packaging printing
- Manages the team budget for packaging, photo shooting and translation agencies services charges
- Insure that the process is always optimized and respected in order to insure the best efficiency
- Ensures the smooth communication with FR packaging manager to align strategy, priorities and objectives for the teams
- Advises on the brands strategy definition and graphic charters creations in collaboration with design agencies and the packaging design team based in France

3. Packaging Development:
- Handles the packaging development for a small category of product (around 400 packagings)
- Build and follow retro-plannings in order to make sure that the projects (mock-up and final artworks) are delivered on time for collection presentation or mass printing for shipments
- Check and filter the graphic quality and compliance of all developed packaging with Carrefour’s defined graphic charters and brand identity

Profile requirements:
Education:
Graphic design studies and/or Marketing business studies and/or Packaging design studies
Competencies:
People management: coaching, motivating, guiding, assessing, empathy
Project management: priority sense, organization, coordination, anticipation
Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in a multicultural environment
Positive and enthusiastic team working
Creativity & innovation, Pro-activity
Knowledge of the European market is a must
Languages: Fluent French & English is a must, Chinese is a plus
Technical : Sensibility to European graphics and page layout is a must
Graphic skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, In design) is a plus
Photography and/or printing techniques is a plus
Structure packaging knowledge is a plus
Experience:
At least 3 years working experience in a management position and with related to packaging, marketing, design and/or project management. 举报 分享
