Job Purpose:
To lead the growth of the Engine Aftermarket Business in Greater China. Greater China represents the largest market and largest growth market potential of the global Engine Aftermarket for Donaldson. This role is responsible for executing the existing strategy for growth, expanding growth into new markets and new products, strengthen and expand the distribution network and strengthen and grow the sales force to ultimately meet the sales and profit targets by month, quarter and year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take P&L responsibility for business generated, which includes the formulation of realistic annual budgets and goals, control and administration of approved budgets and appropriate and timely actions, which results in maximized long terms sales and profits.
- Continually assess subordinate skills and advance those skills to meet the development objectives of the individual as well as the company.
- Formulates, communicate, gain support for and implement effective sales strategies which will maximize the sales and profits of the Company products through Distributors and End Users.
- Assist in the design and implement the process to measure and improve total customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to Product BU team about new product development needs for China market. Commit the potential sales number and deliver the result.
- Collaborate to establish the pricing strategies required to effectively gain penetration and market share while meeting defined profit goals.
- Plan, coordinate, implement and measure the effectiveness of specific sales program designed to achieve the overall strategy to gain market share, sales goals and profits.
- Develop, maintain and grow sales to “National Account” end user customers by implementing product and pricing strategies necessary to meet this market segment’s needs.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecast.
- Evaluate and communicate market trends, customer preferences, competitive information, pricing actions and product information using both direct and indirect customer contacts and utilize this information as a basis for making changes or refinements to existing market and product plans.
- Seek and assists in the screening of applicable Aftermarket business opportunities which the Aftermarket may profitably develop.
- Implement and maintain global initiatives such as Catalyst, CRM, Etc.
Requirements:
Education Qualification:
A Bachelor degree holder in Business Administration, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferably with a MBA qualification.
Technical Competence & Skills:
? Product Knowledge – ability to learn filtration technology and apply it to selling
? Data analysis and interpretation – sales report analysis to identify areas of opportunity, issues and make decisions
? Market analysis – market understanding which includes size, customers, competitors, trends
? P&L Understanding – financial acumen to manage business
Leadership Competence:
? Delegation – set clear managerial expectations to direct reports to manage front line sales
? Managing and measuring work – set clear objectives that are understood by team and measureable to track progress or challenges and to then make adjustments
? Motivating Others – ability to get the best out of people and leverage their skill sets
? Organizational Agility – work with colleagues from across the company (China & global) to get the right people together to achieve targets goal(s) and/or address specific needs
? Managing Purpose and Vision – ability to see beyond here and now to realize a vision for the future while building off the current state
Relevant Experience:
? Front line sales experience (min 5 years) - required
? Sales manager experience of 1-3 people (min 5 years) - required
? Director level experience leading a team of managers. Creating and executing a strategy through entire area of responsibility with quantifiable results – required
? More than eight years’ experience selling in an industrial industry after market
Others (% of travel, language, etc.):
? Fluent written and oral English communication capability is a must.
? Ability to travel 50%
