The Essential and Preferred requirements for the position-Production Manager are-

ESSENTIAL

1. Education-

• Engineering Background ( Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred)
• Good communication skills in English.

2. Experience-

• 3 years experience as a Production Manager or comparable role in Furniture or Bedding industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a large team profitably.

3. Skills (must be demonstrable)

• Production capacity/Manpower balancing and Production planning.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing,Continuous improvement, EHS&6S management
• Reporting by Microsoft office software

4. Attitude

• Wants to be hands on;
• Interested in all aspects of business, but with an emphasis on production.

5. Values

• Honesty and Integrity.

PREFERRED

1. Education-

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Experience-

• Branded,premium,consumer durables manufacturing WOFE company
• Hand-on experience for process improvement projects

3. Skills-

• Can develop a team of people.

BROAD FUNCTION & OBJECTIVES:

1. Responsible for the coordination of the manufacturing function of the factory.

2. Coordinates the safe,timely and efficient production of high-quality products at the lowest possible cost.

3. Assists in the recruitment,development,management and coaching of production team.

PRIMARY OUTCOMES:

1. Safety-Ensure safe working environment for all people on site.

2. Quality-Achieve highest possible product quality.

3. Production Cost-Achieve lowest direct and indirect cost as a percentage of sales.

4. Service-Achieve highest possible schedule completion.

PROCESSES TO ACHIEVE OUTCOMES:

1.People-ensure that the production team achieves the best possible results in the following areas:

a. Labour Productivity-as measured by $/piece;

b. Innovation

2.Materials-ensuring the best possible performance in:

a. Minimising finished goods returned for Sealy caused defects,as measured year on year; and

b. Inventory Surplus-minimise wastage & theft-as measured year on year.

3.Equipment-ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest possible standard for the lowest possible cost.

4.Systems-ensuring the highest possible housekeeping audit and incentive scheme scores as measured year on year.
