Key responsibilities:

Vehicle Engineering (VE) Quality Management is responsible for leading the unit’s quality activities, current- and forward model as well as operational. We now need to strengthen our team with a Variability Reduction Team (VRT) Leader in the Chengdu Plant. You will report to Manager VE Quality Management, the CMQ Manager Global – VE and to VRT Manager R&D in Chengdu.
Current Model Quality (CMQ) involves all parts of VCC and has local operations in all manufacturing sites and in major markets. CMQ is responsible for the quick resolution of quality problems reported on cars currently in production. Problems are reported from market companies and importers all over the world, as well as from other sources, car production, internal testing, customer surveys, warranty statistics, etc. Vehicle Engineering’s responsibility within the CMQ organization is Noise and Vibration Harshness, Solidity and Fuel Consumption.

You will lead the cross functional Vehicle Engineering VRT-team in Chengdu with focus on variability reduction actions and address needed concept changes to Global CMQ in Gothenburg.

Main Tasks/Position description:

Lead and reduce variability within the agreed warranty scope and from plant internal indicators, e.g. road test, short track, audit and incoming material and audit.

? Lead and coach the Variability Reduction Team in the daily operation.
? Drive for ERA (Emergency Reactive Action), ICA (Interim Containment Action) and PCA (Permanent Corrective Action) in order to secure both Product & Process.
? Support / work together with project in launch phase.
? Address concept related issues to corresponding design departments.
? Work through cross-functional network in R&D and with Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Purchasing.
