Quality Assurance Assistant

Intro:
We are a UK based importer and distributor who are rapidly expanding with over 20 years of experience sourcing in China, with over 5,000 employees globally.

We supply high volume products to the discount sector in Europe with a Buying & Sourcing office in XuHui District, Shanghai and are looking for a QA Assistant to join our team on a full time basis.

Job Description:
?On the job training provided on customised management system, reporting directly to the Quality Manager
?Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality
?Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams
?Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives
?Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures
?Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased products

Education/Experience Required:
?A good knowledge of materials and production methods used for a diverse range of consumer goods is essential
?Experience dealing with European safety standards and regulations required for a diverse range of products (preferably UK regulations for products)
?Computer proficiency essential

Person Specification:
?Responsible – Have a very strong sense of duty and accountability
?Ability to work under pressure and to meet vital deadlines
?Willing to work occasional late evenings
?Methodical – Have a perfect understanding of the supply chain and organize itself to meet all the requirements in a timely and cost effective manner
?Self-motivated and highly energetic
?Excellent English and Chinese skills (oral, reading and writing)
