The primary function of the Bioanalytical Scientist is to lead a team and to conduct laboratory projects/experiments, develop methods, generate, interpret and report scientific data. The scientist must have enough experience to be able to work largely independently. The scientist will troubleshoot problems and make a significant contribution to the practical delivery of projects by applying deep understanding of bioanalysis skills.

Major Responsibilities:

• To be an effective team leader in supporting projects to meet their objectives
• To identify and solve problems associated with their experiments and discuss with other team members
• To possess a range of practical skills and demonstrate flexibility within and across teams.
• To effectively communicate results to other members of the project, team, and section or to other Departments as required.

Minimum Requirements

MS with 3 years industry experience or BS with 5 years industry experience. Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or academic research laboratory preferred.

Skills and Competencies

The individual should have experience and knowledge in several of the following areas:

• Quantitative Bioanalytical chemistry
• Biofluid and tissue sample analysis
• Under supervision development, improvement and validation of Bioanalytical methods
• Analytical techniques e.g. LC-MS/MS, LC-UV

Preferred Background

• Experience in either small molecule or biotherapeutic (where appropriate) drug discovery and development process and familiarity with regulatory principles and guidelines
