In vivo pharmacologist in metabolic disease syndrome

Title: Director/associated director/group leader upon qualification

Major Responsibilities:

l Qualified candidate will provide scientific leadership for the company’s
efforts to build the metabolic disease research area.

l Be responsible for setting up and validating different types of metabolic
disease models including obesity/diabetes and dyslipidemia

l Lead a team to evaluate preclinical candidates in type 2 diabetes models
as well as develop analytical assays in studying pharmacodynamic effects of compounds in related disease areas.

Qualifications

l Ph.D. in pharmacology with a minimum of 2 years post-doctoral research
training in type2 diabetes related areas

l Proven experience and skills in animal modeling (especially in rodents), in vitro assays (e.g. adipocyte culture) and biochemical assays.

l lIndustry experience in drug discovery is preferred.

l Good written and verbal communication skills are essential

l Understanding of drug discovery and development process is desired

l Interpersonal skills and the ability to work across project teams

l Ability to manage multiple tasks and effective leadership skills
