- Execute “day to day” routine of sales administration main activities (Vessel nomination, stowage plan, shipping scheduling, LC opening checking, follow up price/quality adjustments and lay time settlements) to ensure a successful performance of sales
- Follow up customers’ performance, acting proactively to support the Iron Ore Sales Managers and Technical Leaders (former Account Managers) on sales activities, including but not limited to negotiation of vessel/cargo swaps, definition of discharging port sequence, LC amendments.
- Assist customers’ enquiries and maintain very good relationship with local customer base.
- Contribute to constant cost reduction as well as the optimization of sales results in terms of price realization & sales volume.
- Facilitate the communication between Headquarters and Chinese clients.
- Keep record of all related documentation required, securing appropriate filing and storage.
- Keep commercial and customer related information duly stored and continuously updated into sales database system
- Properly request products inspection at discharge ports according to technical guidelines defined.
- Support Sales Managers and Technical Leaders on negotiation by providing important inputs about the clients, for example, their purchasing habits, preference on discharge ports, LC issuing chain.
- Prepare or help to prepare reports requested by commercial and/or marketing team
- Assist Sales Managers in analyses of new initiatives/projects.
- Contribute to streamline of internal procedures as well as to the collaboration between iron ore commercial team and the other areas such as Shipping, International Receivables, GADOC.
