Job Assignment:

1. Environmental Management
? Manage projects related, but not limited to:
-Air permitting and compliance;
-Wastewater treatment;
-Storm water management;
-Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management/disposal; and,
-Soil and groundwater investigations.
? Interpret applicable current and proposed local, provincial, national and international environmental laws and regulations as they relate to the ITTC operating activities and processes, and identify applicable requirements. This will include any specific additional requirements related to IKEA Sustainability initiatives.
? Develop, maintain, and conduct environmental awareness employee training programs to ensure that THE COMPANY’s employees whose activities are affected by environmental laws and regulations understand how their activities impact the company’s compliance status;
? Review capital projects and major process changes to ensure that the changes appropriately
? Review and/or prepare various environmental reports as required by local, provincial and national agencies, and IKEA China Sustainability Forum ensuring such reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner;
? Work on other projects as necessary in order to reduce environmental related risk, liability, and cost to the Company while following applicable laws and regulations;
? Represent ITTC on Fengxian Site Environmental Committee and advise FX Site Management Committee on any environmental matters
? Initiate and manage sustainability project/activity in accordance with IKEA Sustainability Policy;
? Participate or lead other special projects or assignments.
? Prepare, document and coordinate an ITTC Environmental strategy


2. Security Management
? Manage facility security team to protect the security of our employees and company property:
-Monitor the central control room of fire, security and access control systems
-Work with the functional department to handle emergency incidents (such as: fire, theft, anti-intrusion and personnel conflicts, etc.)
-Daily security maintenance

3. Safety Management
? Ensure continued compliance and enforcement of Company, local, provincial, and national health and safety regulations and IKEA IWAY;
? Develop, implement and administer safety training for all employees on a scheduled basis. Fire training is to be conducted for all employees annually.
? Evaluate safety performance and establish current and future loss control strategies to prevent similar incidents;
? Implement accident prevention methods in accordance to company policy;
? Evaluate, develop and implement safety programs that foster a safe, accident-free workplace.
? Coordinate ITTC safety committee and conduct routine physical safety audits of the ITTC facility to pinpoint unsafe working conditions, behaviours and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections;
? Be an active member of ITTC Emergency Response Team and FX Site Emergency Response team
? Establish a formal documentation system including procedures and reporting. Adhere to a formal follow-up methods with manufacturing and other departments on successful closure of findings and recommendations;
? Establish and implement KPI’s to monitor ITTC safety performance
? Assist and lead completion of all audits and findings; EHS visual workplace coordination of 6S implementation
? Conduct ergonomic, personnel, protective equipment, and machine guarding job assessments;
? Interface with the various safety and emergency response committees within the facility and the FX site.
? Facilitate industrial hygiene monitoring.




Job Requirement:

? Bachelor graduate or above, major in science and engineering is preferred
? 3 to 5 years of experience in safety & environmental related function. National registered Safety Engineer is a must.
? EHS and security related government relations experiences are preferable.
? Ability to independently and reliably work on agreed Safety & Security actions.
? Excellent Mandarin Chinese and English oral and written skills including the ability to compose original correspondence and communicate effectively.
? Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences both verbally and in writing.
? Familiarity with Chinese environmental, health, and safety regulations and compliance therewith (i.e. Material Safety Data Sheets, and Hazardous Waste, General Operations Permit, etc.)
? Knowledge in international EH&S principles such as OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO14001 management systems will be of benefit.
? Willingness to stay current with regulatory requirements and obtain needed education to meet position requirements.
? Fast perception and ability to implement requests at short notice
? Ability to plan effectively, to influence others and follow up on changes implemented
? Must have the ability to handle confidential information regarding the company and employees and maintain the confidentiality in a professional manner.
