To create business and IT process opportunities to improve the portfolio or business, by analysing current business and IT activities with the purpose of eliminating waste in the use of information systems and operating costs. To maximise the use of information to support effective decision making and investigate new processes and technologies in order to identify technical opportunties that may result in step changes in business performance in support of the Horizon programme in China.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide a business analysis service to the Programme IT Manager and working closely with the senior BA in the team, covering all functions - Manufacturing, Supply chain (MP&L), MS&S, Purchasing and Business systems applications requiring development / roll out, this will include COTS packages evaluation.
The role will entail the planning, coordination and implementation of the IT facilitisation of the new project office to include network requirements/deployment, managing incoming team members, pc / laptop / phone / iPhone deployment, printers and support of the user base within this facility with general IT queries and be the 'hands on / at elbow' technical desktop support. The role will be involved with all infrastructure deployments related to the Horizon programme.
The role will require liaison with local suppliers customer IT personnel, also close liaison with the future Chinese partners IT work-stream and occasional support in meetings / workshops / planning reviews etc. Building strong relationships will be a critical part of this role.
There will be a requirement for data/information gathering, capturing and documenting customer requirements, feedback to IT Programme management team.
Testing / training considerations for end user solution will also be a consideration of this role.
Support PMO Manager and senior BA :-
o Tracking work-streams to plan
o Maintaining overall plan / master schedule
o Managing IT risks / issues
o Attending work-stream reviews / capturing requirements
Skills, experience and qualifications required
Experience of full software/project lifecycle development with appropriate analytical skills and a good range of general IT knowledge.
Fluent in English and Mandarin languages.
Self motivated and flexible requiring minimal management and supervision to achieve project and personal goals.
Team player capable of fitting into the wider Horizon team but also part of the wider customer IT teams with cross-functional liaison/communication required.
Excellent communication skills to discuss complex issues with the IT, business, third party suppliers and our future Chinese partner.
Effective facilitator to work cooperatively with IT shared services, 3rd party vendors and business customers.
