With 1,450 employees worldwide our client is the market-leading manufacturer of high-tech-products and systems in surface finishing technology. The customers of their user-friendly, reliable and economical solutions are consumers, contractors as well as manufacturers.
As they are dedicated to further expand our position as a pioneer, trendsetter and top supplier in the field of high quality technology for surface coating consumer and contractor they are looking for an experienced, hands-on and self-motivated Operations Director (based in Shanghai).

Your role will include:
？ 70 – 80% of the job is dealing with Project Management + Assembly, Purchasing, Logistic, Warehouse
？ Leading the project management team for liquid, powder and adhesives including prioritizing the projects within the team
？ Recognize the customer’s needs and analyze the technical feasibility
？ Sales support for competitive offers
？ Prepare proposals including calculation and scope of delivery for standard and customized projects
？ Synchronize prizes with sales
？ Organize, coordinate and manage all the projects from order entry to final acceptance
？ Technical customer consultancy and service
？ Reduce the project costs by permanent cost savings
？ Support coating test in the lab
？ Implement the global standards and processes and close cooperation with the global project management team
？ Regularly check the costs used for the calculation
？ Continuous improvement of the processes and reduce the failure quote

This role requires:
？ Mechanical engineering background
？ Experienced in leadership
？ Minimum of 10 years’ working experience
？ Practical experience in plant engineering, in mechanical and electrical construction
？ understand the manufacturing process and in particular what has an impact on the quality and which are the cost drivers
？ Experienced in project process
？ Good English skills
？ Coating industry background is an advantage
