Broad Functional Description:

Performs Software engineering duties under the direction of the project Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities:

1) Performs software engineering duties as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with the project's Senior Project Engineer.

2) Assists Chief and Staff, and Senior Engineers in the development of standards, identifying proven designs for re-use.

3) Assists in preparing System Specifications as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with the project's Senior Project Engineer.

4) Involved with FMEA considerations related to projects, as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with the project's Senior Project Engineer.

5) Participates in design reviews associated with projects as directed by the Chief Engineer in concert with Senior Project Engineers.

6) Maintains awareness of/adherence to project budgets and timelines.

7) Assists Staff Engineers, as directed, with proposal preparation.

8) Assures conformance to Quality/ISO and customer specifications.

9) Maintains perpetually current records regarding project related activities.

10) Such other tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

1) Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent in applicable practical experience.

2) Five (5) years National Instruments LabVIEW software and Data Acquisition and analysis experience in project related business.

3) Knowledge of C or C++ is desirable

4) Knowledge of Visual Basic programming

5) Ability to read and interpret electrical controls drawings

6) Experience with PC to PLC interface, Profibus, Ethernet and others

7) Familiarity with machine tool industry capital equipment.

8) Effective communication/presentation skills. English and Chinese
