Job Purpose:
This position belongs to the marketing product planning department, which interfaces to the engineering team, customers, and ecosystem partners.
Key Responsibilities:
? Define silicon, software, and board roadmaps by identifying key market trends and requirements for CSR’s target markets.
? Perform technical and business competitive analysis
? Assess technology/market timing/cost/performance trade offs. Negotiate with IP vendors.
? Engage key stakeholders of R&D, Operations, silicon and SW engineering, partners, and customers to write and champion market requirement documents
? Drive implementation of product specifications with engineering groups
? Manage product line from cradle-to-grave – including sales training, design win effort, operations forecasting, margin management, and reference design creation.
? Prepare and deliver product and marketing presentations to executive staff
Required:
? Minimum 5 years’ work experience in platform and product marketing from SoC (or similar highly complex IC) concept through to high volume production
? Customer-facing experience and product marketing/management experience:
o Competitive analysis
o Product planning/definition for application processors, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS
o Product positioning
o Extraction of market/customer requirements
o Margin/NPV/forecasting
o Opportunity assessment
o Basic marketing background:
5 forces, SWOT, 4 C’s, etc.
? Embedded platform integration experience and understanding of chip design, software design life cycle, and board development in consumer or automotive devices
? Solid understanding of computer architecture and mobile system design.
? Willingness to travel 30%+ abroad to Europe and Asia
? Excellent written and oral communication skills; fluent in English and Chinese
? Bachelor degree in EE/CS or related field
Highly Desired:
? 5+ years’ work experience in telematics or automotive in-vehicle infotainment systems
? Technical marketing experience in
o Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC
o GPS/GNSS standards
o Imaging
o Security
? Reference board strategy and creation
