Scope:

The Analytical Chemist is to support manufacturing and process development activities, including new raw material supplier qualification, process change related qualification, method development and validation, QC check for the tolled products and third party products etc. He/she will be also involved in GLP related work and registration support on product chemistry.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Provide strong analytical suppor to the business, includng:

1) Deliver testing results within cost and time targets.

2) Provide analytical support for API AI manufacturing :

- Work with team leaders to fix the issues and ensure all of the raw materials and products meet quality requirements.

- Support pilot/plant operation including trouble-shooting.

- Work with process chemists to monitor yield improvement.

- Specify analytical standards as per the specific procedures.

3) Provide analytical support to identify new raw material sources and QC check third party products.

2. Well know GLP quality system and involve in its practice such as GLP studies.

3. Maintain the lab equipments such as GC, HPLC, titrator, balances, ovens, etc.

4. Provide analytical support to other FMC sites/areas as request.

5. Ensure that the knowledge and intellectual property, which belongs to FMC, is adequately protected.

6. Ensure that FMC standards of safety, health, environment and Responsible Care are implemented and sustained in all activities.

Requirements:

- BS holder with 3-5 years experience in classical and instrumented analytical chemistry in agrochemical/pharmaceuticals or fine chemicals in industrial research organization or Chinese government laboratory.

- Processes laboratory research experience in a relevant field and be familiar with analytical method development and validation.

- Processes a good knowledge of spectroscopy, chromatography and laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration & qualification etc.

- Ability to operate and interpret spectroscopy and chromatography, such as HPLC, GC, prep-LC, LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR etc.

- Be responsible and conscientious for analytical tasks

- Keep good communication skills and continuous learning.

- Strong self-motivated and work independently under stress.

- Good PC skills and written English.

- Ability to travel on a needed base.
