Senior Software Development Engineer-JEE

Main responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain the retail banking self-service operation management or transaction processing platform and product.

2. Communicate with the German headquarter on the platform & product development.

3. Communicate with the project team on the local user requirements analysis.

4. Provide the technical support for product promotion in global market.

5. Learn & be familiar with business know-how and technical know-how on retail banking industry.

6. Acting as the technical leader in the project team to research for new technologies on demand.

7. Acting as the technical/domain consultant to provide the specific technical/ domain knowledge consultation.

8. Write technical documents including product requirements, installation manuals and end user operation manuals

9. Troubleshoot software issues and do maintenance

Required Skills/Competencies

1. At least 5 years working experience in software development

2. Skills and experience in J2EE and Web Development using JSP, Servlet, XML , Swing, JSF, JavaScript and Other Open Source Framework (Struts, Hibernate, JSF, Spring, Eclipse RCP...)

3. Strong OO designs skill, UML and design patterns

4. Experience with the Commercial Application Server such as BEA Weblogic or IBM WebSphere

5. Experience with relational database (Oracle, MSSQL Server, DB2...).

6. Good spoken and written English

7. A fast learner

8. Good trouble-shooting and problem solving skill

9. Ability to work in a dynamic, adaptable, flexible and creative environment

Desired Skills/Competencies

1. Experience with the business requirement analysis

2. Be familiar with financial data exchange protocol such as ISO8583 and etc.

3. Experience with multi-threaded/concurrent programming

4. Experience with DB and Application Server performance tuning

5. Experience with the software development project management

6. Be familiar with JAVA 5 new features

7. Experience in the Banking IT solution

8. Experience with the Unix/Linux platform

9. German language
