• Timely advanced component quotation for new projects
• Negotiate and Select qualified suppliers for components with competitive prices for awarded new projects, meet project timing to achieve project flawless launch.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities to secure the operations of Katcon and ensure compliance to company Policies & Procedures; Work closely with user departments to ensure all purchasing requests are completed on-time;
• Negotiate with suppliers to implement cost reduction, propose new initiatives on potential cost saving projects, ;
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity, including PO & Vendor info in QAD system, sourcing file, component supply contract, etc.
• Organize internal meetings & vendor meetings for responsible projects
• Provide monthly report and analysis on direct material spending data and contract status, Savings, quarterly report and assessment on vendor KPIs etc
• Assist Purchasing Supervisor to conduct direct category sourcing analysis, strategies and actions
• Ensure an efficient purchase for categories and propose process improvement
• Follow all Katcon Global supply management procedures

Major Job Qualifications Experience/Education (Required/Preferred)

Education

Bachelor degree with a major in engineering or equivalent work experience (required).

Experience

Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing facilities. (automotive industry preferred)

Minimum 5 years purchasing experience (automotive industry preferred)

Language

Fluent in speaking and written English

Computer

Strong MS office skills

Technical Skill

Good purchasing process knowledge

experience in cooperation with cross functional teams preferred

Demonstrated knowledge ERP system

QAD purchasing user knowledge is a plus

Demonstrated knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 and internal control

Soft Skill

Good interpersonal skill and able to manage the conflict

Analytic and strategic thinking; Hardworking and adaptive to new environment
