Textile Print Designer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Review new styles with Designers to understand vision and concept;

-Design yardage repeats and placement print artwork

-Responsible for completing accurate technical packages on our "InDesign" system to send to manufacturers on time;

-Responsible for working with the graphics to complete fabrics and artwork to send to manufacturers ;

-Work with private brands and in house labels approving fabric and trims;

-Communicate with manufacturers for any arising issues for production;

-Create and Edit labelling and QA Manuals occasionally;

-Provide support to other Textile Designers in Sydney Office, and design department as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION

-At least 4-5 years' working experience within women's apparel;

-University degree in related universities for Fashion/Textile program;

-Strong knowledge of graphic designing, fabrics

-Ability to communicate technical information to customers and manufacturers;

-Advanced computer skills a must. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Some InDesign skills is an asset;

-Ability to organize work, manage time and schedule projects to meet deadlines;

-Strong communication, and the ability to liaise across a number of teams and organizational skills are a must;

-Attention to details;

-Proactive team player;

-Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

EXTRA REQUIREMENT

-Candidate is required to present his/her most recent projects or artworks in relate to the job. Ideally, a portfolio from each candidate will be asked to send in for reviewing during the interview process.
