Job Description:
Perform SysOps Manufacturing Engineering duties in Asia (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea) to support Broadcom production and prototype build activities:
- Review and disposition Broadcom PCB designs for manufacturability.
- Monitor supplier processes and review hardware output for acceptability.
- Communicate SysOps and customer requirements to the suppliers; conduct scheduled audits to ensure compliance.
- Perform supplier qualifications as required to add new suppliers to the SysOps AVL.
- Assist in failure analysis activities as required to resolve issues and minimize schedule impacts.

Job Requirements:

Applicant must possess extensive knowledge of:
? PCB and PCBA end-item requirements (commercial and high-reliability per IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and related specifications).
? PCB and PCBA material requirements for RoHS and halogen-free initiatives.
? PCB fabrication processes (conventional and HDI constructions with eutectic and lead-free assembly considerations).
? PCB assembly processes (automated SMT, manual and rework/repair with eutectic and lead-free assembly considerations; hardware installation).
? PCB design-for-manufacturability guidelines for industry standard, advanced and emerging process capabilities.
? PCB and PCBA quality assurance controls (SPC, Cp, Cpk, etc.).
? PCB and PCBA design deltas between emerging technologies and industry capabilities.
? PCB and PCBA root cause analysis techniques.
? ESD and moisture sensitive component protocols.
Applicant must be able to:
? Speak, read and write English well.
? Review Broadcom PCB designs for compatibility with the fabrication and assembly capabilities of Broadcom's preferred suppliers
? Interface with Broadcom's design engineering and PCB layout activities to ensure that established design guidelines for PCB fabrication and assembly are adhered to.
? Assess the manufacturing capabilities of Broadcom's current and prospective suppliers and make technical competency recommendations for continued/future business considerations.
? Troubleshoot processes in prototype and high-production environments.
? Perform supplier qualifications and audits.
? Perform root cause analyses and manage corrective action implementations.
? Author technical and quality specifications.
? Travel within Asia (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore) to approved suppliers or Broadcom design centers in support of production and prototype efforts.

Applicant required education/experience:
? BS degree in engineering
? Minimum of 5 years of PCB fabrication and assembly engineering work with at least 3 years of manufacturing floor experience.
