The Position
The Title: New Business Development Manager- Printing & Packaging
Reporting line: Business Manager APAC
The Challenge
1. Responsible for top line/margin growth in new business development targets
2. Define the (new) business development plan, based on information of market study / survey, direct market interface, and feedback from the sales force, and execute the plan with impetus to meet the objectives
3. Build an effective network with coating formulators, applicators / convertors, and end users / brand owners to understand and identify new business opportunity for DCR, where the impinging road blocks are and develop solutions to overcome these roadblocks:
4. Identify market areas for the growth of DCR business and be capable of providing thorough feedback from the market to R&D on the performance needs of the market.
5. Understand and develop value propositions of AGA and be capable of positively influencing decision makers on the value of DCR specialty polymer technology versus other coating technologies, looking at the complete value chain
6. Monitor competitive and customer technical developments, new applications and new products and report to the relevant internal stakeholders
7. Create a culture of collaboration with speed and partnerships & open innovation inside and especially also outside DSM with leading innovative companies
8. Make frequent visits to customers in the new business development scope and realize growth targets pertaining to this area.
9. Stay well informed about developments at existing and potential customers.
10. Check credit background of the new customers and propose credit limits to control the payment risk.
11. Keep close relationship with other raw material suppliers in the new business market.
12. Keep good cooperation with APAC team and Global team to offer good service to our customers.
13. Monitor and co-ordinate within DCR in order to ensure a reliable supply to new customers, within DSM’s quality guidelines.
14. Report fully, regularly and timely customer, market and new business development activities in the proper format.
15. Carry out any other instructions from AGA Business management team relating to new business development plan.
The Ideal
1. University degree or above, Chemistry related major;
2. 10+ years working experience, includes more than 5 years’ experience of relevant products in multinational company.
3. With strong background on packaging and convertor market, and with solid commercial and new business development track record.
4. Team-work, project management capability, customer oriented.
5. Good command of English.
