Main Responsibility:

1. Learn, understand, and advocate all types of Portable Power development processes (Phase Gate, Simplified Gate, Sourced Products, and Technology Development).

2. Assist in process development and improvement.

3. Assist in developing training materials and educating Portable Power personnel on process requirements.

4. Assist in preparation and execution of NPO, Technology Development, and Gate Review meetings.

5. Lead multiple types of product development projects (NPD, PLE, major sustaining, Sourced Products, etc.) to achieve agreed upon quality/performance/schedule/cost goals. Projects and teams may span geographic regions, with primary emphasis on China / SEA activities.

6. Assemble, coordinate, and manage cross-functional project teams through all process phases (including overseas project team member activity on certain projects).

7. Develop project plans with cross-functional input and support by entire project team.

8. Manage and resolve inter-team conflicts.

9. Apply principles of critical path, slack, risk, and concurrency to develop optimized, but achievable project schedules.

10. Manage critical program data acquisition and compilation (e.g., Product specs, SPDA, PDBP, meeting minutes, etc.) to support ISO project file requirements and adherence to Gate requirements including creation and maintenance of physical project files.

11. Establish monitor, and report on key project financial data to include:
a. Product Cost Data

b. Project Finance Data:
i. Development Materials
ii. Development Labor
iii. Subcontract Costs

iv. Tooling Costs

12. Coordinate miscellaneous formal and ad hoc reporting requests
a. Program Specific
b. Platform Specific
c. Portfolio Level

Education & Qualification:

1. Basic understanding Finance area (Reviewing / Analyzing, etc):

2. Excellent organizational and time management skills

3. Record of success in previous leadership positions

4. Demonstrated competence in product knowledge and project management skills

5. Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a matrix organization

6. Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, suppliers, customers, outside agencies, auditors, etc.

7. Ability to negotiate critical issues

8. Demonstrate high personal integrity and ethics

9. Strong analytical/problem solving skills

10. Excellent verbal, communication and presentation skills

11. Proficient with MS Suite of Applications including MS Project

12. Ability to manage teams without direct authority over individuals

13. Very good English skill (Speaking & Writing)

14. Basic finance knowledge & understanding

15. Year Bachelor of Science degree with either 1) emphasis in Engineering/Technical studies, or 2) Business studies with extensive familiarity of Portable Power products, applications, and markets

16. Some travel will be required, including international

17. Ability to plan, organize and manage time to complete simultaneous assignments in a matrix environment

18. Ability to make timely, difficult decisions, applying good technical judgment
