SUMMARY: This role will assist R&D Vice President to manage and integrate the shared engineering functions, such as QA/RA, Lab, AME, Sourcing, Test etc to build a strong supporting platform for new product development.
This role will also ensure all the standard operational processes to development new products are implemented in accordance with policy and regulation.
PRINCIPal ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Bringing tailored product leaders together on a regular basis to establish new product development process and protocols within China R&D
? Ensure all the processes of work to support new product development activities are implemented and sustained in accordance with Covidien policy.
? Build and lead engineering supporting functions, which include but are not limited to QA. RA, Lab, AME, Sourcing etc to meet multiple product development projects' operation needs
? Identify and bring in the best practice in Covidien global or external to improve the operation of China R&D.
? Introduce new methodologies and techniques for the use in improving product development efficiency
? Prevent or resolve operational issues which have negative impacts on the efficiency of product development.
EXPERIENCE and Skills :
? Bachelors degree required from a university of recognized stature
? 10+ years of experience in operations, product development or project management in the western MNC of medical device industry
? Excellent communicate in Mandarin and English with both verbal and written
? Experience to operate and manage at least 2-3 engineering support functions among QA/RA, Lab, AME, Sourcing, Test etc
? Ability to operate in a matrix organization; can build good relationships and network cross functions and regions
? Good track records in new process or practice development and execution
? Be capable to manage and collaborate with teams to troubleshoot with multiple parties
? Strong execution capability in a self guided manner without being told to do specific tasks
? Demonstrated excellence in influencing others to work at all levels in the organization
? Needs to be an expert user of MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
