Key responsibilities:

1. Support buyer and PD for Steel and Aluminum supplier
Selection and assessment, identify risks during sourcing stage.
2. Participate in technical review with raw material suppliers.
3. Conduct MSA audit and approve Steel and Aluminum supplier to support
new programs.
4. Participate in the project meeting with cross function team.
5. Closely monitor suppliers program development status.
6. Train and support suppliers in using and implementing Volvo required
quality assurance tools
7. Secure supply base fully meet Volvo quality and capacity requirements.
8. Drive continuous improvements at supplier site.
9. Provide site Lessons Learned to program team and suppliers.
10. Drive implementation of lean deployment at supplier site.
11. Follow up open issues for suppliers until closure.
12. Support other STA engineers for raw material Steel and Aluminum issues.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualification:
1. Bachelor or Above of Material Metallurgy.
2. Major in Metal Material Science, Metallurgy technical, etc.
3. Good knowledge of Steel and Aluminum material spec, eg. GB, ASTM, DIN, JIS etc.
4. Proficiency in English, oral and written.
5. Ability to solve problems in a systematic way.
6. Have a strong holistic view and high degree of courage, Integrity and business ethics.
7. Ability to manage multiple items at the same time without loosing focus or quality.
8. Feeling at home in an international and diverse environment.
9. Positive attitude, resolute and high drive for results.
10. Experienced in working cross-functionally.
11. Have a strong drive, leadership and ability to proactively develop and improve the supplier base.
12. Excellent technical and analytic skills with extensive experience in supplier manufacturing processes.
13. Very good communication (verbal and written) and social skills
14. Ability to travel 3-4 overnights stay per week.
