Position Description:
Senior Applications Engineer for Automotive
Reporting to:
          Automotive Application Manager

Summary of position:
-Customer facing technical support pillar for automotive products
-To influence design in activities in Key accounts
-Application engineer development role for reference platform

Duties:
Key Tasks:
-Support local marketing, field sales and FAE team to provide application support to local customer
-Function as global application engineering role with objective to play a key role in developing automotive reference platform hardware and software, generation of documentation covering application for worldwide use
-To develop knowledge and local technical expertise in the following category
- Automotive microcontroller (including touch)
- Automotive RF solutions (Car access, radio antenna)
- Automotive High voltage solutions
-Contribute and facilitate technical requirements funnel for future automotive products development (fit for APAC customers)
-Organize and provide technical training for local FAEs, local distribution FAEs and sales team focusing on new product launch and other related automotive solution
-Develop & maintain thorough knowledge of Atmel automotive products, their application and competitor positioning
-Implement localized documentation: apps documentation in local language

Position/Skill Requirements
Degree in Electronics, Physics or closely related field
Language qualification (good command of written and spoken English)
Must have 4+ years relevant applications+customer facing experience, Automotive related experience in hardware and software a plus
Experience with MCU based applications and C++ programming skills
PCB layout experience
Familiarity with automotive design tools, design cycle, decision making process a plus
Self starter with no problem with travelling locally + overseas

Preferred Skills:
Fluent In English, Mandarin
Automotive electronics engineering experience
Good Presentations skill
Good communicator
Skill sets to identify opportunities, create opportunities & propose ideas
Customer facing experience

Education:
Education Degree in Engineering / Science
