Responsibilities:



Development, debugging and maintenance of
software tools for embedded system software to enhance the software
quality, stability, and productivity;
Software performance analysis and tuning
using software static and dynamic profiling tools;
Support
software teams to develop, debug and maintain software components including embedded RTOS kernels, BSPs, system
bring-up, boot loaders, peripheral device drivers, file systems, system
libraries, and system utilities;
Maintenance
of software build and release;
Working with
hardware and architecture teams to design and implement platform software modules;
Writing
design, implementation and bug analysis documents;
Occasionally
travelling for customer on-site technical troubleshooting ;
Working with
FAE/marketing team to support customers and conducting technical analysis
on platform software related requirements;
Mentoring
junior engineers.



Skills required:









5+ years
of experiences for BSEE or 3+
years for Master, Major in
telecommunication, computer software or electronic engineering or
related major;
Strong
C/C++ programming and troubleshooting;
Solid
experience in compiler technologies including front-end and back-end
optimization;
Basic
understanding of Linux kernel
(memory, interrupt, scheduling)
and bootloader; A plus
in experiences in OpenWRT or U-boot development;
Experience
in embedded software development and good understanding of the
embedded system architecture especially ARM architectures or other
RISC architectures;
Basic
understanding of Linux device
driver development in, for example, flash, UART, Ethernet, SPI, USB,
timers, etc.
Basic
understanding of networking especially TCP/IP stack;
Experience
in Linux image building/packaging a plus;
Scripting
in Shell/Perl/Python experience is desired;
Familiar
with ECOS/Vxwork or other
RTOSes a plus;
Familiar
with ARM CPU architecture or other RISC architecture a must;
Familiar
with HW debug tools a plus;
Ability
to complete tasks in tight schedule;
Experience
in multi-core programming a huge plus;
Ability
to work as a team player;
Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
