Job Reports to: General Manager, D’Addario Shanghai Trading Company, with a dotted line to VP of International Business Development.

Job Summary: Drive the successful penetration of Chinese string products into the Greater China market. Erhu string products will be introduced in January 2017. R&D work to develop strings for Pipa and Ruan has already begun. A dedicated and focused specialist is required in order to achieve our sales and market influence initiatives.

OEM responsibilities, include being D’Addario’s “boots on the ground” in Asia, to monitor the practices of our existing OEM customers and identify future customer opportunities.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for sales in domestic China for Chinese instrument strings to all commercial channel participants, including, but not limited to music product distributors, music retailers, and teachers serving as sales agents.

2. Develop relationships with key influencers for Chinese instrument strings:
发展民乐琴弦国内重点客户关系
1) OEM Factories OEM工厂
2) Luthiers 工匠以及工作室
3) Music Retailers 乐器店零售商
4) Teachers 老师
5) Professors 教授
6) Symphony and Chamber Musicians 乐团和专业演奏机构
3. Facilitates sales of Chinese string instruments with RSM’s throughout rest of Asia.
同亚洲其它地区销售经理一同发展中国民乐琴弦业务
4. Identifies and negotiates OEM opportunities for Chinese instruments strings.
发展针对OEM业务以及具备谈判能力
5. Maintains OEM relationships for D’Addario with factories using OEM fretted and orchestral strings.
维护使用达达里奥吉他弦和提琴弦的工厂关系
6. Identifies new OEM opportunities for D’Addario OEM fretted and orchestral strings.
发现新的吉他弦以及提琴弦OEM工厂商机
7. Interact with D’Addario OEM personnel as required.
同达达里奥总部OEM部门负责人配合工作

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience. Music industry experience desired.

2. University degree preferred. Academic qualifications are less relevant to this position as the ability to drive sales can come from experience. Candidates with musical performance experience in lieu of preferred degree will be considered.

3. Ability to humbly communicate and relate to musicians and music instrument makers is absolutely critical.

? Remuneration is negotiable and dependent on completion of the 6-month probationary period and will include traveling cost with the exception of traveling to New York for sales meetings and mandatory trade shows outside of his/her geographic territory.
