Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities:
Manage, structure and lead of assigned new business development projects via the Innovation Funnel to create sustainable sales for the BU. Responsibilities of a Project Manager within a New Business development environment includes: participating in the collection/screening of New business Ideas, evaluation of its commercial and technical feasibility, development of a business case, project co-ordination, prototype creation and delivery of a complete technical & marketing package for commercialization.
Ideation: Participate in the evaluation of new ideas based on business criteria to support Innovation Platform on decision making. Initiate and propose new ideas via market intelligence (Market pull driven) or via R&D technology push. Participate brainstorm session or other creative methods to generate new ideas Create SBU's buy-in.
Market research: Define plans for market-research for the scope of the project. Coordinate, analyze and interpret market information from internal and external sources. Initiate and coordinate market studies to understand customer needs and present conclusions and recommendations.
Feasibility: Define the feasibility of the selected idea on business potential, commercial viability and competitive positioning. Analyze and map technical feasibility to include : Failure Mode and Effect Analysis , Quality Function Deployment on application and design, in- or outsourcing recommendations. Identify and recommend partner matching and required competences.
Global business plan: Update and revisit respective business cases Identify strengths & weaknesses and potential opportunities & threats Establish the connection to global market strategy for defined product/services Define marketing mix (e.g. 4p's including packaging, positioning, market potential by channel, USPs vs. competition etc.)
Test market: Set up and participate in test markets to verify market acceptance Determine price elasticity via price analysis activities in order to set pricing.
Project management: Follow a disciplined approach to planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to achieve defined project and business goals,Manage projects via LEAP process & handover to SBU. Requirements:
Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):
?University degree in Business administration and/or economics,
?Minimal 3 years international business experience in product management or business development,
?Working and lead in international multi-disciplinary teams : directing others, able to create cross-functional alignment,
?Organizational skills : can marshal resources (people, material, support) to get things done and orchestrate multiple activities to accomplish defined goal,
?Project management and planning :
- Sets objectives and goals, breaks down work into the process steps
- Develops schedules and task/people assignment - Ability to prioritize tasks,
?Strong analytical skills,
?Hands on and practical mentality:
- Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
- A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business Opportunities
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A positive attitude to dealing with people - Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual
