Job Objective:
Enrich the market intelligence of the Metal and Ceramic Injection Molding in Asia.
Ensure optimal utilization of technical resources and expertise to successfully launch new product/ applications concepts for Metal and Ceramic Injection Molding.
Support new and growth projects in the applications of Metal Injection Molding and Ceramic Injection Molding in various industries in Asia by conducting and leading technical service towards customers with regional support.
Pro-active business development with the objective to commercialize new businesses and maintain existing Asia businesses in the long run.
Main Tasks of the Position:
Technical Support
? Act as an active member in local sales and marketing team to provide technical support such as organizing technical seminars, workshop to introduce and promote products.
? Visit customers to collect and analyze field information of customer expectations/ problems on product performance/ technical service needs to verify product suitability to application
? Provide competitive product performance information to verify competitiveness of own products. Information to be collected in a data base.
? Provide technical support to customers as trouble shooters and technical consultant, including handling/ follow-up complaints on technical related issues.
? Ensure compliance with BASF EHS requirements in lab operation.
Product application and development
? Provide technical guidance / assistance to customer for product applications to enhance sales services
? Work as technical service representative to identify customer needs in terms of service, approaches and procedures to meet their satisfaction with products and services
? Interface sales/marketing personnel and technical service laboratory/ product training to apply production/application techniques to enhance business opportunities via product applications, meet customer expectations and solve technical problems
? Provide inputs and recommendations for developing/evaluating product applications
? Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices and share with the sales/marketing personnel to foster technical expertise throughout the region
Support to define customer needs
? Sharing information related to customer expectation and product performance with team members
? Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical development that effect target markets
? Work with customers' operation personnel and own research personnel to establish a communication path that enhance product promotion and business development
Product launch
? Participate as part of a product launch team to ensure smooth introduction of the product in customer serving processes
? Support presentation/ seminars and workshops to launch products
Requirement:
1.University graduate in Mechanical, Material, Chemical engineering or related disciplines.
2.At least 3-5 years relevant experience, possibly either in the field of injection molding or powder metallurgy or industry.
3.Strong customer orientation and marketing mindset
4. Pro-active, entrepreneurial, dynamic and flexible approach to problem solving
5. Pronounced interest in new ideas and high level of creativity paired with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
6. Availability to frequent overseas travel (Will be sent to Ludwigshafen for training; also will need to travel to other Asian countries in his job)
7. Skills in standard Microsoft Office applications.
