Position: Senior Manager, Technical Marketing, Animal Nutrition Asia Pacific
Objectives of the Position
According to the agreed strategies, policies and practices, provide input and participate in the technical marketing, business development, technical development of products and services to support the implementation of sales strategies & sales objectives in the assigned areas.
Main Tasks
- To conduct technical customer dialogues, application dialogue as well as to understand customer needs from technical perspective
- To conduct seminars/workshops and training with customers (incl. our distributors) & to disseminate technical expertise
- To identify gaps between customer needs and competitors' products and to differentiate BASF-products vs. competitors
- To understand and to convey technical key selling arguments ('unique selling proposition' (USP)) of our products
- To develop customer concept tool to improve feed cost (i.e. brill feed formulation/ salmonella control monitoring program for acidification)
- To participate in technical conferences to share & to gather technical expertise
- To improve market intelligence from technical perspective by identifying & assessing new products from competitors, new processing technology, new raw materials, market trends, upcoming needs from short-term & long-term perspective, etc.)
- To run flawless product launches in line with global expectations as well as Asian market needs
- To transfer un-met customer needs into ideas for product improvement and to feed into GBU's innovation process
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
Education: Degree in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine or related discipline
Working Experience: At least 8 years experience in the sector of animal nutrition or feed additives, including experience of working with feed formulation software
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Animal Nutritionist or Veterinarian
? Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (spoken Mandarin)
