Position summary
？ To provide strategic input, leadership, direction and motivation to the East Asia Engineering teams, and support the implemen-tation and adherence to global and regional Engineering initiatives.

Your main tasks:
？ Responsible for the success of all new product development projects in line with Global SDS processes.
？ Provide direction for the implementation and adherence to global and regional Engineering activities.
？ Provide input and shared resources where appropriate for Advanced Engineering projects to the global organization.
？ Ensure adequate resources to support Sales in the RFQ process and business development to enable market growth.
？ Define strategic planning for engineering resources in East Asia Region in support of the regional Marketing plan.
？ Oversee the Customer Centres in China and Japan ensuring adequate resource and direction to meet company and Cus-tomer requirements.
？ Co-ordinate the leveraging of Engineering capacity and capability to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
？ Implement strategies to improve engineering capabilities to innovate and execute customer projects successfully.
？ Apply and promote the use of the (IPMD) processes to increase motivation of the personnel within the team.
？ Establish clear line of near-and mid-term succession for all management positions and key individual contributor roles.
？ Implement a strong support structure for the local marketing and manufacturing organizations in East Asia for launch of new projects and reduction of manufacturing-related costs, year-on-year
？ Develop Engineering budgets in line with strategic intent, launch requirements and support requirements locally, re-gionally and globally.
？ Optimize the Engineering costs by applying management methods, resource planning and sharing where appropriate.
？ Capex control and optimization.
？ Oversee new product development project ‘fast track’ performance, ensure all new projects meet financial objectives.
？ Carry out projects and duties as directed from time to time in line with policy/procedure and as laid out by management.
Your profile:
? Tertiary/Bachelors level degree in Engineering with graduate level business qualifications desired.
? 10 years’ experience in an automotive (or similar) Engineering design/manufacturing environment.
? Demonstrated experience in leadership of engineering staff within the East Asia geography.
? Extensive international business experience, with matrixed, multisite experience highly desired.
? Experience in project management of automotive component development projects. 举报 分享
