Tax Manager, China

Who are we?

Group Tax responsible for WW Corporate taxes, VAT & Duties.
Focus on a) Tax governance and control, b) creating visibility on taxes so taxes are invisible for the business and c) having a professional and responsive interaction with tax authorities.

China market has been defined as a growth market for LEGO group. Many initiatives are taken in China to support the China strategy. Challenges in many cases are to develop a coherent approach with LEGO global standard/process while fully understand the local regulations and local practice. To make sure Group tax is able to fully support the China strategy, the China Tax Manager is a key position to support LEGO China’s projects in a way to drive the collaboration of different functions. Also the position is an important resource for Group tax in China to be more involved in global projects and to better support the business.

We expect you to will help us:
?Manage strategic projects to support the China strategy
which could cover all direct and indirect tax. Also Participate or drive in Country/regional/global tax projects.
?Manage direct and indirect tax planning opportunities and risk mitigation, support businesses on various tax questions and business projects. Typical internal customers include various contacts in a single geographic area. The position often confronts complex issues or problems, which require close collaboration with other functions. Problems are often unique and solutions can require original approaches. The incumbent may modify existing approaches or develop new solutions.
?Ensure that tax reporting procedures and compliance related to direct and indirect tax are complete, accurate and in compliance with the respective countries' legislation, and are also well implemented and followed within the company. This includes also identifying tax risks and developing the necessary tax controls within the compliance processes.
?Manage relationships with external tax advisors and competent tax authorities so the LEGO group timely can adopt to changes and conduct internal workshops accordingly.

Do you have what we’re looking for?
-8+ years’ work experience in TAX;
-Strong project managing skills and capability to drive cross functional projects;
-Big-Four experience is essential;
-Commercial experience (in-house) preferred but not a requirement.
-Has relevant Degree; CPA, Certified Tax Agent, or ACCA etc
-Functional expertise (including transfer pricing experience)
-Collaboration, customer focused and consumer driven
-Willingness to travel domestic and overseas as needed
-Strong cross culture communication skill, can work with different global stakeholders
-Fluent English both in written and spoken
