Position Description
1 Assist senior management and/or Health & Safety (H&S) Manager to develop and/or implement programs to achieve health & safety objectives as per company’s requirements.
2 Assist in maintaining and improving the safety and health standards of the company and all affiliated project sites as the company deemed appropriate.
3 Oversee all project sites’ health & safety performances and promoting safety excellence at worksites.

Responsibilities
1 Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legal, regulatory and industry H&S good practices. Ensuring management and staff are kept informed of any relevant changes to legal, regulatory and company H&S requirements.
2 Maintain comprehensive H&S records and manage all statutory H&S reporting requirements.
3 Liaise with government bodies, agencies and professional organizations on administrative, regulatory, and licensing requirements.
4 Identifies common safety/health hazards inherent in the organization's operations, and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards. Audits safety/health programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
5 Conduct surprise site visits, completed projects, OHSAS 18001 (or GB/T 28001) and ISO 14001(or GB/T 24001)internal audits, and participate in safety audits/inspections as and when required.
6 Personally investigates major accidents or problem areas and recommends future preventive measures.
7 Prepare safety statistics and analysis reports with suggestions on improvements.
8 Participate in the selection of contractors for development project.
9 Plan and develop training curriculum according to KLCL H&S requirements, and provide trainings to all KLCL’s staff accordingly.
10 Conduct train-the-trainer training to all site safety personnel and ensure training programs are executed effectively in all project sites.
11 Complete other feasible tasks assigned by company.

Qualification and experience required
1 Diploma and above or equivalent with major in Safety Engineering / Construction or related.
2 At least 5 years of construction site (medium to large size) experience as full time safety staff.
3 Good knowledge of local Safety Acts & Regulations.
4 Registered safety engineer will be an added advantage
5 Good in Microsoft office (words, excel & power point)
