Position Overview

- Support the growth of the MUSC business in China.

- Work together with Account manager.

- To provide MUSC product, application, or manufacturing technology and industry knowledge specific to the field of Friction; Abrasive; and Refractory.

- Identifies products that to meet customer requirements and supports their qualification through formulation and application development and by providing on-site support to customers as needed.

- Provides fast and effective support to resolve customers' problems.

- Identifies new product opportunities and interacts with supervisor to determine how best to address.

- Support Technical Service Lab operation in Zhengjiang.

Job Responsibilities

- Performs a broad range of experimental activities applying high quality standards

- Defines and executes experimental plans and customer-related technical support projects, applying high quality standards, critically reviews the results, and then communicates results to supervisor

- Makes sure that the results are delivered on time and communicates, at an early stage, progress and any issues that could impact meeting deadlines. Explores and proposes proactive solutions to problems and shares them with supervisor.

- Critically discusses and communicates project results both verbally and in a written report with the guidance of supervisor.

- Writes memos and TS reports.

- Maintains timely, accurate and (witnessed) lab books in order to provide the records required to properly execute/address all IP questions and needs and to safeguard experimental data.

- Interacts with peers and customers with professionalism and respect.

- Interacts with peers in marketing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure alignment on solving customer problems.

- Acts within boundaries agreed upon with supervisor.

- Contributes to others' projects in a proactive manner.

- Carries out activities living up to EH&S standards and practices good housekeeping.

Qualifications

- Educated to minimum college level in polymer science or chemistry.

- Knowledge of phenol - formaldehyde based polymers. Wide experience of polymer analysis.

- Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience (Friction; Abrasive; Refractory)

- Fluent in Mandarin, Competent in English (spoken and written).

- Ability to travel by any means and to work in chemical laboratory i.e. handle chemicals and laboratory equipment.
