Job Description:

Security IP Specialist FAE will provide expert technical support to field applications and sales teams, to drive pre-sales customer engagements of Synopsys’ Security IP (Intellectual Property) products to successful technical closure. The role requires working with customers, sales, marketing, corporate applications engineering, and product R&D teams from different locations. IP FAE will be involved in customer meetings to understand customers’ technical requirements for IP, and will be responsible for supporting the engagements via on-site or remote technical interactions and regular meetings, providing demos, supporting evaluations, resolving technical issues, addressing competitive challenges, and regularly communicating status during the engagement. IP FAEs also provide field inputs to product teams on competitive data and new feature requirements, based on customer engagement experiences.

Requirements:
- BSEE with 6+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Understanding of and experience with semiconductor design and/or IP (ASIC preferred, but FPGA is also acceptable)
- Understanding of embedded hardware and software design
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- High initiative and self-starter
- Experience working in a customer-facing or sales-support role
- Ability to travel, to visit customers, sales and engineering teams
- Strong technical communication (oral and written) skills
o Ability to understand and present complex technical requirements, issues and solutions, in precise and accurate manner, in verbal and written communications
o Ability to analyze, summarize and generate status updates from technical data
o Ability to organize, conduct and co-ordinate meetings involving multiple teams, such as customers, sales, marketing, R&D etc.
Nice to Have:
- Security expertise, especially platform security, key and certificate management, etc.
- Understanding of and experience using ASIC/FPGA design flows (HDL, synthesis, timing, place and route, simulation, etc.)
- Previous experience in security hardware and/or software development
- Previous embedded system design experience
