In the H&M Production organization we transform design ideas into actual products. We ensure that we produce safe products for our customers and remain in the forefront of sustainability.

As a Yarn Technical Specialist, your main focus will be to ensure fabric quality during the development and production stage and provide technical solutions to the merchandiser team.

What will you do?

In this role, you will be kept busy and engaged through a wide range of tasks. Primarily you will need to:
Secure fabric/yarn in development and production
Make technical judgments on Fabric Technical Data and fabric hangers
Be part of the commercial decision-making from the technical fabric perspective
Be the contact person for the Quality Assurance, Research and Development, merchandisers and suppliers
Follow up Fabric Technical Data to ensure that it is aligned with sample yardage test results.

Who will you work with?

In this role you will join a dynamic and energetic team based in Shanghai. You will report to the Material Senior Technician and interact regularly with Sourcing, Business & Quality teams, our external suppliers as well as your colleagues based both locally and across the Globe.

Who are you?

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the textiles field, preferably in dyeing and finishing
Material and product-related education background
3 years of multinational company experience in a material or quality / test department would be a plus when combined with mill experience
