Summary:

Develop, implement and measure an APAC wide commodity strategy for assigned Cable commodity (include cable harnessing, non-typical cable selection, connectors, dual sourcing, alternative sourcing, etc.) that contribute to the corporate strategy. Drive technical excellence within the commodity Management Team by assisting in the development of tools, metrics and strategies that meet the business needs. Develop, implement and measure a Global Business plan that fully meets the needs of our business sectors (i.e. commodity strategies, supply base development, Global infrastructure, price management etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a level of expertise within cable and its ancillary technology with exposure to manufacturing, design and/or harnessing.
Drive the implementation of cost modeling within the cable supply base to drive best in class pricing.
Take leadership in cost management projects throughout the product life cycle that includes but not limited to Quarterly Price Negotiations, LEAN Projects and Value Added Engineering projects.
Provide leadership in all aspects of commodity management.
Change management, drive the required organizational and supply chain changes needed to meet Jabil's growth plans and leverage the supply base and resources throughout the region.
Play a key role in the negotiation of the supplier / purchaser relationship.
Be expert, internally & externally, on Jabil's supply chain strategy.
Ensure the development of the supply base to exceed the goals and objectives of Jabil and the supply chain management team.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
Min 10 years operational and commercial experience within the metal / cable industry.
Experience in people management
Detailed and proven understanding of supply chain management processes and tools
Strong management, organizational
Proven contract / commercial negotiation skills
Willingness to travel through APAC (> 50%)
Priority considerations for candidates with commercial exposure to Commodity Management in an EMS or OEM environment.
Education:
Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
BA/BS in Business Administration and/or MBA
Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates
