Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity based in our Shanghai office and be part of the Centre of Excellence for Integrated Supply Chain. This role is responsible for assisting in the implementation of supplier quality and development program within assigned region in close alignment with global policies, procedures, processes, guidelines and global/ regional regulations. He/She will track supplier performance and prepare supplier scorecards to monitor delivery performance and suppliers compliance relative to EHI’s procedures and standards. The incumbent will also engage suppliers to improve performance and optimize processes and new product development.
Accountabilities
Supplier Development & Management
? Overall responsibility for supplier quality and development for assigned suppliers; As the owner of the assigned products, responsible for development of quality plans to ensure quality control of critical characteristics, improvements of quality control processes and programs, manufacturing capability, value engineering of products, and optimization of the supplier’s own supply sources, as well as the subsequent process audit and routine reviews of the effectiveness and implementation.
? Develop and optimize suitable Inspection Plans as per the fixed process to guide inspection for supplier and inspectors; Developing improvement plans & techniques for selected advanced suppliers as well as improvement of sub-tier sources; Identifying, reporting and tracking dedicated supplier savings resulting from supply development programs. Responsible for the communication with parties related to solve problems of drawing and technical and quality requirements; Leading in periodical communication with Supplier.
? Work closely with procurement team on supplier selection process. Maintenance of a common supplier database of supplier KPIs
Project Management
? Provide professional contract and offer management, control and monitoring project schedule, quality and site service support, all risk, and so on
? Keep continuous communication with suppliers to well understand our customer’s needs and ensure good customer satisfaction
? Manage suppliers in terms of progress, quality, and service
? Maintain good internal communications with TPM lights organization (PDM, PED, Procurement and Operations) to ensure the project is going smoothly with high working efficiency
Required Skills and Experience
? Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or Business Management
? At least 3 years of relevant experience within the Chemical or Mechanical Manufacturing Industry
? Proficient in the English and regional language(s) (written and spoken)
? Additional advantage to possess internal or external auditor certifications and process optimization certifications (Lean Silver, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent)
? Well-informed about launch readiness program and management methodologies (e.g. PPAP, AQPQ)
? Knowledge of the QA organization and procedures used to address customer quality concerns
? Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
? Able to travel between 40-60% of the time domestically/internationally
Working Relationships and Environment
Reporting to the Manager (Global Supplier Development), the internal stakeholders are the Procurement Team and Regional Engineering Team.
