职位描述:
This position will be responsible for all sales of Vytran systems, directly in Chinese Mainland. The product lines include fiber splicers, cleavers, recoaters, strippers / cleaners, proof testers, and components. This position requires a significant amount of travel.
Vytran销售工程师将负责整个中国大陆地区Vytran系统的直接销售工作。产品线包括光纤熔接机、光纤切割机、涂覆机、光纤剥离/清洁机、光纤拉力测试仪以及相关零件等产品。本职位需要频繁出差。

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
职责描述
1. Actively approaches accounts using own market knowledge and Thorlabs knowledge in persons and systems. Recognizes and creates opportunities of sales through visits.
基于对市场的了解,以及对相关人员及系统的了解,积极接触客户。通过拜访客户开拓并创造商业机会。
2. Able to close projects in a systematic, pragmatic and logical manner.
能够以系统性、务实、有条理的方式完成项目。
3. Able to set realistic customer’s expectations to realize a returning customer base.
能够设置实际的客户预期,建立长期客户关系。
4. Able to negotiate and close complex projects
遇到复杂的项目时,能够积极协调、顺利完成。
5. Identifies opportunities in new markets and develop strategies on how to penetrate these markets
积极寻找市场机遇,制定相应战略,开拓新兴市场。
6. Gives market feedback and participate in the development of the next product generation.
搜集市场反馈信息,分享给公司相关人员,参与新产品开发。
7. Attends major tradeshows to create additional customer contacts
参加主要的展会,获取新客户联系方式,并建立联系。
8. Able to track open sales project using a customer relationship management software program.
通过客户关系管理软件系统,跟踪系统中尚未完成的销售项目。
9. Lives the Thorlabs philosophy being the most appreciated problem solver for the customer’s application, i.e. he understands the application, involves Tech Support of the product lines for help, assesses the return on invest of customer specific activities, reacts quickly and keeps promises.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Scientific and Sales Background Qualifications:
专业技术背景及销售经验:
? A minimum of 2 years of fiber processing experience. Hands-on experience using and demonstrating fiber processing equipment and optical systems
2年以上光纤加工处理领域的经验,在光纤加工处理设备和光学系统的使用及展示方面具备实践经验。
? Minimum 1 year of experience in capital equipment sales; preferably fiber processing system including but not limited to splicers, cleavers, and recoaters
1年以上大设备销售经验,具备光纤加工处理设备(包括但不限于光纤熔接机、切割机和涂覆机)销售经验者尤佳。
? Working Knowledge of:
--- Fiber splicing
--- Fiber cleaving
--- Fiber recoating
--- Fiber stripping
--- Fiber proof testing
具备以下应用知识:光纤熔接、光纤切割、光纤涂覆、光纤剥离、光纤拉力测试
? Good understanding on the use of fibers and fiber components
深刻理解光纤产品及其零部件的应用
? Interpersonal and Sales Skills:

1) Listening and communication skills
    语言沟通技能
    --- Fluent in English and Chinese.
        中英文流利
    --- Must be able to understand and summarize scientific data with customers.
        必须能够理解技术文件并进行总结,从而与客户沟通
    --- Clearly communicate scientific terms and language, and understand customer application
         to develop sales projects.
         清楚理解并表述专业术语,理解客户应用,拓展销售业务
2) Strong presentation and sales skills.
    优秀的展示及销售技能
3) Professional selling ethics.

4) Understand and capture new opportunities and be able to communicate them to the
    appropriate individuals in the company.

    --- Identify new markets to be able to sell the current Thorlabs products.
        发现针对Thorlabs现有产品的新的市场机遇
    --- Identify new opportunities to enhance Thorlabs core competency and develop new tools.

5) Candidates that are familiar with Thorlabs products is a plus.

6) Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.

? Master or above in Engineering Technology, Optics, EE, Physics
工程技术、光学、电子工程、物理学的硕士学位或以上
? Ability to think and execute tasks independently
