Responsibility:

1. Primary responsibility aimed at qualification plan, scheduling, performing, analyzing data, and documentation,reliability qualification for NPI development and product changes;

2. Deal with internal marketing engineer and external customer for new product reliability requirements comply;

3. Response for product ongoing reliability monitoring plan, execution, documentation in mass production stage;

4. Engage in failure analysis and root cause investigation for qualification, production. Customer reliability failure;

5. Validate endurance and mechanical reliability performance characterization comply with industry and customer standards;

6. Document results in the form of technical reports for internal and external customers;

7. Track the completion of required compliance tests for NPI programs.

Requirement:

1. BS degree or above, material and electronic engineering background are appreciated;

2. 2+ years of experience in optical communication or electronic;

3. Expert of reliability test standard (MIL JEDEC Telcordia) and the test equipments;

4. Be familiar with failure mode on optical or electronic component;

5. Skill in life cycle prediction method;

6. Skill in statistical data analysis, JMP/Minitab software skill is appreciated;

7. Organized and able to schedule and provide technical direction to test technicians;

8. Be familiar with DOE concept and able to conduct experiment design;

9. Good written skills to document results with diligence and high level of data integrity;

10. Good verbal communication skills to ensure effective interface with R&D engineers within the Shanghai organization as well as collaborate with reliability engineers in other Finisar sites;

11. Self-directed and disciplined to work with little supervision and able to take initiative to resolve issues directly with engineers;

12.Technically competent and thorough enough to assert the pass/fail status of validation testing internally as well as potentially communicate results to customers.
