Responsibilities:
As CAE ENGINEER 3D simulations, you will perform CFD simulations of engine components and subsystems. You will be expected to take an active part in the development of all our engines. This includes planning, executing and analyzing results of CAE calculations as well as reporting to line manager and project teams. You will make recommendations based on CAE results and experience. Another important part of the work is the continuous improvement of the simulation methodologies to improve accuracy and turn-around times. The work will be carried out both independently and in teams. You will be expected to present your results at regular meetings as well as in written reports.

Our primary working tool for 3D CFD is currently StarCCM+. Scripting is an important part of our workflows and this is done mainly in Python, Java or shell scripts.
Requirements
The candidate should have an academic background in Internal Combustion Engine, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Physics preferably with a focus on engine applications. A Master of Science degree is the minimum educational requirement. A minimum of two years experience in industrially applied CFD simulations. Professional level of proficiency in Star CCM+.
Meritorious
Experience in 1D CFD and particularly in using GT-Suite. Experience of working with the software ANSA for preprocessing. Knowledge in Java scripting, Python, Matlab and shell scripting is also valued.
